DEEPFIELD
Flex space and transformable zones define this tech network firm.
Synecdoche designed and renovated the 5,200 SF office of Deepfield, an Ann Arbor-based tech company. Completed with general contractor J.S. Vig Construction in 2015, the design highlights the designers’ creativity through custom fabricated objects and furniture, perforated metal screens, and movable partitions.
Synecdoche designed the space to keep an open office with multiple types of work zones. Carefully chosen desks, high counters, lounges, and a series of conference rooms with varying privacy levels allow for a flexible work environment.
The conference rooms are specifically designed to be easily converted from a private meeting to a brainstorm session, with semi-opaque metal screens replacing typical walls and heavy block curtains replacing the standard door.
Synecdoche custom fabricated acoustic ceiling baffles, conference tables, kitchen tables/benches, and coat racks with materials repeated throughout the space.
