ZOEY+JOEY
Synecdoche designed this fun1,600 SF retail space for the second location for Zoey + Joey, a fresh and modern hair studio and boutique for children and teenagers. With the main design intervention of a center wall that divides the space into two zones, the overall design embraces themes of playfulness and self-expression.
The kids’ side features seats in the shape of Volkswagen vans and a slide, while the zone for teens is more streamlined, with simple and modern finishes.
The white perforated steel wall consolidates electrical, provides acoustic dampening, and provides an x-ray view of its structure. Colorful walls wrap around the room, showcasing a flexible retail display of movable pegs and wooden boxes.
